Interview with Shafaeath
Who are you and how old are you?
My name is Shafaeath Jamil, and I am from Bangladesh. I am 29 years old and a textile engineer. I am currently completing an internship in the Quality Assurance Department at the KUPA Group.
What were your main tasks?
My main responsibilities included preparing quality sheets, tracking pre-production (PP) samples, and maintaining the documentation throughout bulk production. This included certificates, logos, and other specifications.
What was different from what you expected?
To be honest, I initially thought I would be more involved in finishing processes. Instead, the focus was on documentation and product development.
Which task did you enjoy the most, and which one did you enjoy the least?
I enjoyed preparing the quality sheets the most because they gave me a comprehensive overview of the products and helped me identify potential defects. I found the repeated inspection of individual products less exciting, although I understood that it was an important part of the process.
What did a typical workday look like for you?
In the morning, I checked my emails and created a list of priorities. I then clarified any outstanding issues with suppliers, made the necessary corrections, and updated the data in the follow-up sheet.
